With a background in design and front-end development, Melanie aims to empower people to make interesting and inclusive things on the web. Most recently she has helped shape the web platform as a Program Manager on the Microsoft Edge team. In her time on the platform, Melanie has contributed to accessibility-centric projects, such as bringing UI Automation API support to Chromium and standardizing forced color mode styling features. She is currently focused on customizable HTML controls, along with web trust and privacy. An enthusiastic generalist, Melanie loves a good side project and is forever dabbling in a range of digital and analog creative pursuits.
