Erin Kissane

Erin Kissane is an editor and content strategist whose love for the web runs deep. She leads projects for content strategy consultancy Brain Traffic and was formerly editor of A List Apart magazine and editorial director at Happy Cog Studios. Her clients have included Thomson Reuters, WW Norton, Capgemini, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and a grab-bag of content-savvy web and publishing startups.

Erin is the author of The Elements of Content Strategy (A Book Apart, 2011), a brief handbook for content strategy practitioners and everyone else who needs to create and manage useful content for real people.

As co-founder of Contents, a new magazine about content and publishing, she seeks to bridge gaps and strengthen connections between communicators and information-slingers from all over the online world. She lives in Brooklyn, speaks at content and web conferences worldwide, and blogs at Incisive.nu.
