On the Rohde Again: An Event Apart Minneapolis Sketchnotes

Master sketcher-cum-note-taker Mike Rohde has released the official Sketchnotes for An Event Apart Minneapolis 2011, available for your viewing pleasure as a high-res PDF. The 6.5 MB PDF prints beautifully at letter size, enabling you to leaf through Mike’s visual record on good old analog paper. The PDF also looks dandy on the iPad.

Mike Rohde is a Milwaukee-based sketch-noter and the illustrator of 37signals’s REWORK. He writes about design, sketching, drawing, sketchnotes, technology, travel, cycling, books, music, film, and more on the Rohdesign blog. Interesting reads there include Declining an Apple Job Opportunity, 37signals’ REWORK Book Illustrations, Process vs. Specs, SXSW Interactive 2010 Sketchnotes, and, if we do say so ourselves, An Event Apart Minneapolis Sketchnotes. We are honored and pleased to have had Mike chronicle our rather extraordinary AEA Minneapolis 2011 event.

For more on the intellectual underpinnings behind sketchnotes, see Sunni Brown: Visual Note Taking 101, and The Doodle Revolution. If you prefer traditional text, speaker Luke Wroblewski has written excellent notes on many of the major presentations at AEA Minneapolis 2011.

You can follow live discussion of future events at afeedapart.com (visit when AEA events are in session; see aneventapart.com for the schedule of events).
