An Event Apart Seattle 2007

We interrupt our stream of Event Apart Boston updates to announce the next stop on our 2007 calendar:

An Event Apart Seattle June 21st–22nd Bell Harbor International Conference Center Registration: $795 early bird (until May 21st, 2007) / $895 regular / $995 at the door Limited seating, first-come, first-served

It was only last year that we held a one-day Event Apart at Bell Harbor, and we can't wait to return to this wonderful location. Situated smack dab on the waterfront of picturesque Puget Sound, the Bell Harbor auditorium is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the chairs are Aerons.

But good as all that is, it's nothing to the talent we've assembled for this special two-day show.

ONE INCREDIBLE LINE-UP

Here's why you don't want to miss An Event Apart Seattle: the list of speakers is to die for.

  • Tim Bray, father of XML and Director of Web Technologies at Sun Microsystems
  • Jeff Veen, Product Director for Google's Measure Map
  • Andy Budd, Managing Director at Clearleft and well-known user experience designer
  • Khoi Vinh, Design Director at NYTimes.com and author of subtraction.com
  • Shawn Lawton Henry of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI);
  • Shaun Inman, the brains behind Mint, sIFR, and some great design
  • Mike Davidson, CEO of Newsvine and web standards provocateur
  • Jason Santa Maria, the visual wizard behind the A List Apart redesign and many others
  • Eric Meyer, CSS expert and author of CSS: The Definitive Guide and Eric Meyer on CSS
  • Jeffrey Zeldman, godfather of soul and author of Designing With Web Standards

Reading over the list makes us giddy. We'll publish a detailed schedule no later than March 15th.

UNLIMITED JOY, LIMITED SPACE

As always, great lunches (co-sponsored by Adobe) and break-time munchies will be included as part of your registration fee, along with some truly great giveaway goodies, plus an opening night party brought to you by (mt) Media Temple.

Seating in Seattle will be more limited than in Boston, and the Boston show is about to sell out. With fewer seats, Seattle's available seating will disappear even faster. Registration opens March 15th, so get those approval processes going now! You do not want to miss this show.
