Full AEA San Francisco Schedule

August 20, 2007

With the Chicago show right around the corner (and about three seats short of selling out), we’re concerned that people might have missed the publication of our complete San Francisco schedule. That would be a dark shame, because it’s wonderful in the extreme. We’ll hear from experts in the worlds of design, content, accessibility, and standards–all in just two lovely October Bay Area days.

Want some specifics? We’ll enjoy sessions on content strategy, the scent of information, and how words are as important an interface aspect as design. Design itself will be given its due in talks about how to effectively (re)design for the web, add flair to your designs, create designs that scale to serve millions of users and dozens of languages, and sell your design to tough bosses or clients. We’ll hear about the state of video captioning, which is of concern in our increasingly YouTubed world. There will be real-world, hard-won insights into promoting and nurturing standards adoption in the enterprise–or in any organization. Experts will look at the design and structure of forms online, dive deep into CSS, and consider the impact of IE7 on our profession.

You might think that with that kind of lineup, there’s no need for more, but there really is more. We’ll have two great after-hours parties where you can network with your peers, talk over the day’s experiences, and just generally unwind with like-minded folks. There will be our usual top-notch bag-o-swag. And we’ll be located at The Palace Hotel, right next to the Montgomery Street BART station for easy access for locals and out-of-towners alike (you can take the train straight from SFO to the hotel!), with a fantastic room rate for attendees.

As we’ve said before, this will be our last show of 2007, and we’re planning to wrap up the year with a bang. Don’t miss it.
