Todd Dominey & Jason Santa Maria join Event Apart Roster

We are thrilled to announce the guest designers for An Event Apart Atlanta. Joining us on the speaker’s platform will be Atlanta’s own Todd Dominey and A List Apart makeover artist Jason Santa Maria.

Todd Dominey represents the emerging web designer who has mastered graphic design and usability, web standards and Flash, and who not only enjoys client services but also develops his own web-based products.

Known throughout the world as a designer, developer, author, blogger, and web entrepreneur, Todd has designed and developed interactive projects for Budweiser, Motorola, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Blogger and more through his studio, Dominey Design. Additionally, he is now in his fourth year as an interactive designer at Turner and was recently named creative director for a new Turner Entertainment broadband venture.

Whether the subject is product design or technology or how to nurture and (almost more importantly) sell great design, Todd Dominey is sure to illuminate and inspire. (Read more about him.)

Joining Todd and your hosts in his second engagement with An Event Apart, designer and art director Jason Santa Maria has been recognized for designing stylistic and imaginative web interfaces that maintain a balance of usability and effective content presentation.

Soon after gaining web-wide attention via his well-written, award-winning personal site, Jason left the interactive agency where he had worked on projects for PBS, E! Online, Comedy Central, and Miramax and launched a high visibility freelance career, chiefly dividing his time between Philadelphia’s Pixelworthy and Jeffrey Zeldman’s New York-based Happy Cog.

Among his notable recent achievements was the total brand and layout makeover for A List Apart (ALA) Magazine. At An Event Apart Atlanta, Jason will shed light on the creative thinking behind the ALA redesign and reveal some of its subtlest and most intriguing details. (Read more about Jason.)
